German law in force since January 2023. Initially applied to companies with 3,000+ employees, extended in January 2024 to all companies with 1,000+ employees based in Germany. Requires companies to identify, prevent, and document human rights and environmental risks across their entire supply chain — including suppliers several tiers deep. Certificates are a primary evidence document for compliance.
EU-wide directive published in July 2024, subsequently amended by the Omnibus I package in early 2026. Under the amended rules, companies with 5,000+ employees and €1.5 billion+ in turnover must comply from 2028, with broader scope phases following in 2029. Member states must transpose the rules into national law by July 2028. For Germany, the existing LkSG is being adapted to align with CSDDD requirements.
EU directive that came into force in January 2023, with member states required to transpose it into national law by October 2024. Significantly expands the original NIS1 scope to cover medium and large companies (50+ employees or €10M+ turnover) across energy, transport, healthcare, manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and supply chains. Companies must demonstrate cybersecurity standards are met across their supplier relationships — ISO 27001 certificates are a primary evidence document.

No. Signcert connects to your existing certificate issuance system. Your auditors, your report templates, your quality management workflow — nothing changes. The sealing happens automatically in the background as each certificate is issued to Signcert.
Certificates issued before connecting to Signcert cannot be retroactively sealed — the seal can only be applied when a certificate is issued to Signcert. Going forward, every new certificate you issue will carry a seal. Existing certificates can be re-uploaded by your clients but will appear as user-submitted rather than certifier-sealed.
Any certificate type — ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, TISAX, IFS, BRC, HACCP, organic, Fairtrade, SA 8000, and others. The sealing logic is the same regardless of the standard. If your system can produce a PDF, Signcert can seal it.
